My mom needed us to take a picture for a project she's working on, so we went outside (because natural lighting never hurt anybody, right???) and had a lot of FAILS. Feel free to laugh.
This one might have worked in the 90s...Don't worry; we knew this was a fail from the beginning. Doesn't my hair look amazing, though?!?
The sun was SOOOO bright. I seriously could not keep my eyes open most of the time so we had to keep moving spots, trying to find someplace a little less naturally light.
Scratch that. I actually could keep my eyes open as long as I was making this face...
Cute. I know.
I almost had this one. I had my eyes open until the very last second, I swear.
We moved into the shade, and this one was okay. But Duncan wasn't looking at the camera. So we kept trying!
The sun was chasing us. Fast. So we had to move. Again.
Under this cute tree. But then we realized we had weird shadows all over our faces!!
So we moved inside. Where the light was naturally coming into the room from the window. No squinting. No shadows. Almost perfect. I think Duncan was just humoring us at this point (note the smile).
And here we go. Winner winner chicken dinner!
Please don't mind the fact that Duncan is playing with his hand (p.s. isn't the pinky the cutest thing ever??) and my hair isn't as awesome by this point as it was in the first picture. (Feel free to go back up and look at my hair. I seriously think it was the best hair I've had in a looong time.) We're happy and having fun, and even if it's not perfect that's what makes it perfect for us!!
Such wonderful pictures full of adorable memories!
