First Blog!!!

So...I keep finding more and more people I know that are making blogs, so I finally gave in! I don't know how often I'll be able to update though, I've been pretty busy lately :)

I guess first I should say, for everyone who may not know, that Harry is Scott's middle name and Yvonne is mine. When we first started dating we were joking with a couple of friends from high school that when we got old we would start going by our middle names so that we could fit in at the old folk's homes...hence the name of the blog.

Back to the present, Scott and I started school at the beginning of this month. Scott's taking 14 credits, I'm taking 18, and we're both working full-time!! However, my hours at ShopKo have been cut back dramatically because I'm quitting soon. My manager has some kind of vendetta against any person that she feels is making life any bit harder for her. So since I decided my last day would be next Saturday, she's only been scheduling me 25 hours or so a week, and I've been working the WORST hours of my life. For example, this next week I'm working Sunday from 4 p.m.-10; Monday from 12 (midnight) to 8 a.m.; Tuesday from 12 to 8 a.m.; and Saturday from 4 (in the morning!!!) to 12. Ughhh...

I had an interview yesterday for a small company where I would be working as an Administrative Assistant. It seems like a pretty cool office, and the guy that interviewed me seemed super nice. Plus, Cameron Jones and Tyler Nelson already work there, and I've known both of them forever so I think it would be a fun work environment. I also applied for the post office (which was a total circus, I had to jump through SOOO many hoops), and I should know about that any day! So hopefully something works out.

Work's been kinda rough for Scott lately too. They've been really busy and have been planning on hiring more people at least since May, and still haven't. You'll have to ask him for more details than that, but I hope that things get better over there soon.

We're really excited for conference this weekend! We're headed to Evanston, and I have no idea how we're going to break up our time there between our families. This trip is going to end up being a lot shorter than we want it to be to accomodate both our work schedules. We're really excited to see our parents/siblings though. Should be fun.
