Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was busy this year!!  Duncan and I went to Evanston late Monday night so we could get some extra "grandparent time" before Scott came up on Wednesday.  We stayed with G&G Baird and they loved it!  Duncan loved spending so much time with them.

All the grandkids love these hammock-style swings, and Duncan is no exception!!  He liked feeling the tickle in his tummy and he always likes being big like the other kids.

Grandma Baird gave Duncan a bath in the kitchen sink, and he would not let go of this little baby duck the whole time!!  He finally decided that it was better than his pacifier!

He would not let go of it...

Duncan loved playing with his baby cousin, Kate.  He didn't really love sharing his toys, though...we'll have to work on that...

He loved putting Grandma to sleep while she was feeding him.

He loved playing with all his cousins.  And they just love him.  Here's Abby "holding" him (he looks about as big as her).

And here's Tyson "holding" him too with Carter sneaking into the picture.  Tyson thinks that Duncan is just the best.  He has loved him since Duncan was born and always says "me home him" (me hold him).  I don't know if he just learned to wink or what, but he had to wink for all his pictures this week.

Here's Duncan swimming in G&G's hot warm tub!!  He loved it!  I thought he wouldn't really like it because there were so many kids in it, but he was so happy to be one of the big kids swimming.  He was kicking his little legs the whole time he was in the water!!

Once he found the baby duck again he started relaxing a little and tipped to the side...but he was still happy!

We went over the G&G Fieber's house (thanks for the second Thanksgiving, Tress!!) and had to get a picture of the "twins"--Duncan and Grandpa.  Both in their Adidas pants and sweatshirts.

Duncan got in the bath with his cousin, Steven.  They loved it!!  This is the only picture I got with both of them looking at the camera, and it's so dark!  They were having so much fun, though.  Duncan is definitely a water baby.

Here's Grandma Fieber holding the boys.  Don't they just look so cuddly?!?

Duncan also got to see some of my old friends from high school.  We always love to see Shelley (and don't get to see her often enough), and Duncan also got to meet Skyla and Katie for the first time.  Poor guy was a little sick (we found out it could be strep, but it's probably just a cold [he's on amoxicillin just in case...]), so he wasn't quite as smiley as usual, but he's still so happy all the time and is doing really well even being sick.

It was such a fun week in Evanston; it was kind of a bummer to have to get back to the grind this week.  It's always nice to get away and do something a little different for a while.  We're so lucky to have two great families, and, especially this time of year, I realize how blessed I am.  We love you all so much!!
