On Pioneer Day we went to the parade with Cameron and Kayla downtown Salt Lake. Here's Duncan all ready to go!!!
At the beginning of the parade, they had a police escort, and it was probably the coolest one I've ever seen!! They were weaving in and out of each other; they had probably 20 or more policemen on motorcycles. I just got the last ten or 15 seconds on video, but if you look close, you might be able to see their fake mustaches too! Pretty awesome.
President Monson was near the front of the parade too. His wife was on our side and he was on the other side of the car. He even had his window down and was waving at everybody! All of his bodyguards had fishing vests on. Maybe to blend in...? I don't know.
Then the floats started!! I'll only put a couple on here. Tuachan made a float for their Little Mermaid show that's playing right now.
They had these "fish" people walking alongside the float. Their costumes were super crazy!

A lot of the floats were made by Stakes around the area. I don't know how they did it, but they made some amazing floats!! We didn't even get a couple of the REALLY cool ones (often I forget I have a camera...I'm pretty out of practice...)
It was a really fun day and the perfect temperature. It was pretty overcast, so no sunburns either!!!
