St. George Trip

We took a short trip to St. George this weekend; it was Duncan's first hotel stay since he was born!! He LOVED the king-size bed :)
--Just in case you couldn't tell, that's Duncan in the middle of the bed...... :)
Oooo my first mani pedi. I told Scott this would have to become a weekly tradition....when we have enough money to burn!! Until then it will be a very rare treat. I loved it!
Scott had a grrrrreat game of golf. He ended up parring the course (18 holes), but he was 2 under par on the first 9 holes. On the 13th hole, he had this amazing shot on an island green. It was almost a hole in one. You can see where the ball hit and messed up the hole, and then you can see where it ended up landing. He's not sure if it hit the pin or not, but you can see a scuff mark that may have been from the ball. Crazy!!!

When Scott was golfing Saturday morning, Duncan and I went to the park. It was well over 100 degrees outside, but Duncan didn't seem to mind! He slept through most of the walk we took at the park...
But once we got back to the car, he wanted to drive!!! Silly guy; not for another 16 years!!!!
We wanted to go somewhere we wouldn't be able to in Salt Lake, and when we found this Chinese/Mexican Buffet, we just had to see what it was all about. We discovered they also had seafood (crab legs, shrimp, salmon...), steak, onion rings, and snow cones. This was the biggest buffet I have ever seen in my life.
And, yes, that is a panda wearing a sombrero and riding a...donkey? Haha.
We went to the St. George temple. We couldn't believe how WHITE it is!!! It's a beautiful temple. We learned a lot about it while we were there too. Apparently they had apartments at the top of the temple for those who had come a long way to be sealed or go through the temple for their endowment.

We were really happy to get into the air conditioned Visitor's Center after being in the heat all day. They even gave us a private viewing of Legacy in our own theater!
It was a short trip, but it was really fun! Scott and I decided that St. George would be a really fun place to live. I don't know if we ever will live there, but there's a lot more to do there than I ever realized, and the heat really didn't bother us as much as I thought it would.
