I know that I already did a post about Duncan's birthday, and I should have done it all in one, but the pictures were in two different places soooooooo, because I'm lazy, you get another one :)
The first few are actually extras that I found from Duncan's birthday Day, not the party Day.
On the way to the zoo (see that post here), we stopped at A & W because Duncan's mom likes hamburgers.
Later that night we took Scott's dad to Texas Roadhouse with us. Duncan and Kevin kept fighting over Kevin's lemonade...
Duncan won because he's so cute.
We had Duncan's party at our church building, and I "hid" these dinosaur eggs in the lawn outside.
The kids had a fun time finding them, but opening them was the really exciting part.
All the kids had a different dinosaur baby to take home.
The Dino Dig was a big hit, too.
I made a cake...It was supposed to look like a dinosaur but ended up looking more like a monster. Haha. I guess I have the theme for next year's party since I already know how to make weird, ugly monster cakes!!
Duncan must have had higher standards because he didn't really get into the cake. With a little help he got plenty dirty, but he mostly liked poking a finger or two in at a time and licking the frosting off.
His cousin, Steven, was MORE than happy to help him with it though :)
After the cake I took his clothes off so he wouldn't get blue frosting all over his toys and everyone else. (Note to self: Bring an extra set of clothes when neon blue frosting is involved again.)
I just love his face in this one:
You know you're from Wyoming when you get a bull from one set of grandparents and a horse from the other...
He was so happy opening all of his presents. He didn't know what to do with himself when we got home and he had so many new things to play with!
Despite the Monster/Dino cake debacle, Duncan's birthday was a huge success, thanks to all of our family that came to celebrate with us. Duncan is so lucky to have all of you in his life! And for those of you that weren't able to make it, we missed you....and MOVE CLOSER!!! :)
